Contraindications
Brow & Lash Contraindications
- Using retinol, Prescription Acne Products (Accutane®, Retin-A (Tretinoin®), Reno Tazorac, Differin, Obagi or any other skin thinning prescriptions (MUST WAIT 6 MONTHS BEFORE LAMINATION TREATMENT).
- Eczema / Psoriasis in Brow or Eye Area
• Sunburn in Brow or Eye Area
• Hypersensitive Skin or Eyes
• Open Skin, Fresh Scar Tissue or Inflammation
• Bacterial Conjunctivitis (Pink eye), Head lice
• Pregnant / Breastfeeding
• Contact Lenses (Must be removed before treatment)
• Recent waxing/hair removal (Lamination: Foreign Shaping of 6 weeks or less will result in an extra fee)
*Lamination solution/tint may cause irritation or redness in any skin type.
*A patch test will be administered prior to your treatment.
Sugaring Contraindications
Sugaring cannot be preformed if :
• Hair isn’t at least ¼-½ inch long or the length of a grain of rice (refrain from shaving, trimming or tweezing before/in-between your appointments)
• Using retinol, Prescription Acne Products (Accutane®, Retin-A (Tretinoin®), Reno Tazorac, Differin, Obagi or any other skin thinning prescriptions (MUST WAIT 6 MONTHS BEFORE ANY TREATMENT).
• Have Eczema / Psoriasis in areas being sugared
• Have sunburned, irritated or open skin in areas being sugared
• Have been tanning the same day
• Have allergies or sensitivities that could affect your service
Dicontinue use 3 days prior to appointment
• AHAs ( Glycolic Acid) / Salicylic Acid / Benzoyl Peroxide / Chemical Exfoliates
(Causes increased sensitivity and potential lifting)
Facial Contraindications
- Brow services are ONLY permitted 7 days before or after facial treatment
- Prescription Acne Products (Accutane®, Retin-A (Tretinoin®), Reno Tazorac, Differin or Obagi (MUST WAIT 6 MONTHS BEFORE ANY TREATMENT)
- Pregnant/Breastfeeding
- Metal bone pins or plates
- Pacemakers or other heart conditions
- Seizures or epilepsy
- Use of oral steroids
- Autoimmune diseases such as lupus
- Diabetes
- Use of blood thinners
- Any Contagious Disease; Bacterial Conjunctivitis (Pink eye), Head Lice, Ringworm, Tuberculosis, Covid-19 Virus
- Open sores, herpes simplex (cold sores)
- Recent facial surgery or laser treatment
- Known allergies
- Eczema / Psoriasis
• Sunburned Skin
- Hypersensitive, Irritated or Redness-Prone Skin
• Open/Broken Skin, Fresh Scar Tissue or Inflammation - Bruising/Tenderness
• Retinol-Based Products & Alpha-Hydroxy Acids(AHAs) - Severe Ance (please contact a dermatologist)
